SmartTEH

SmartTEH

SmartTEH brings automation to where most work is still done by hand: loading and unloading trucks and containers. Its systems load a container in a few minutes, with a single operator and without modifying the vehicles.

RollerPlate – automated truck loading system (ATLS)

RollerPlate – automated truck loading system (ATLS)

RollerPlate is a roller-equipped loading plate onto which the cargo is prepared before the truck even arrives. Once the vehicle is in place, the plate is hydraulically aligned with the trailer height and the prepared load moves into the trailer in a single stroke. As the plate withdraws, a retaining mechanism holds the cargo in place. According to the manufacturer, the system takes up to 30,000 kg per load, is driven by an electric motor with a gearbox, and works with unmodified trucks and trailers.

Benefits

  • Loading in minutes instead of half an hour. Because the cargo is prepared in advance, the time the truck spends at the dock is reduced to the transfer itself.
  • No forklifts inside the trailer. The riskiest part of loading disappears, and with it damage to goods and to the trailer interior.
  • No fleet modifications. The system works with standard trucks and trailers, so it is not tied to your own fleet.

Applications

  • Distribution centres and 3PL operations – loading palletised goods, crates and cartons into outbound trailers.
  • Food and beverages – fast loading of large batches with less packaging damage.
  • Manufacturing and industrial materials – dispatching heavier and awkward cargo, including big bags.

Telefork® – automated truck loading and unloading system

Telefork® – automated truck loading and unloading system

Telefork® is a telescopic system with a double set of hydraulically adjustable forks that pushes pallets into the trailer or pulls them out onto a belt conveyor. After the vehicle arrives, the system aligns hydraulically with the trailer height, while LiDAR sensors scan the cargo space and determine the optimal loading pattern. The manufacturer quotes a lift of up to 3,000 kg at a time, loading or unloading a complete trailer in under 30 minutes, no trailer modifications, and the option of linking to existing ASRS systems.

Benefits

  • Works in both directions. One system covers loading and unloading, simplifying dock design.
  • Automatic pattern recognition. Sensors determine the pallet layout, reducing gaps and damage caused by cargo shifting in transit.
  • Less manual work and fewer injuries. Forklift work in the narrow cargo space disappears.

Applications

  • Retail and consumer goods distribution – high frequencies of palletised shipments.
  • Pharmaceuticals and healthcare – cargo where damage and deviations are most expensive.
  • Agriculture and building materials – produce, feed, fertilisers, seeds and palletised building materials.

Container Loading System (CLS) – horizontal container loading system

Container Loading System (CLS) – horizontal container loading system

The CLS is SmartTEH's flagship product: a sliding loading plate that pushes the entire cargo into the container in one stroke. The manufacturer quotes loading a container in five minutes with a single operator, or five to ten minutes depending on the cargo type. The system covers 20- and 40-foot containers and, with a longer plate, 45- and 53-foot containers and cargo trailers. Versions are available with a high-density polyethylene plate (CLS), a sandwich version with a steel layer (CLS-SW) and an alloy-steel version (CLS-U), which also allows unloading in about ten minutes.

Benefits

  • Dramatically shorter loading times. Instead of stacking piece by piece with a forklift, the cargo is prepared in advance and inserted in one stroke.
  • A fully utilised container. Because the cargo is loaded as a whole, there are no gaps between pieces to reduce space utilisation.
  • Less damage and less labour. The cargo does not move around the container, and one operator replaces a team with several forklifts.

Applications

  • The timber industry – sawn and planed timber, panels (OSB, MDF, plywood), cross-laminated timber and flooring; systems are also in use at Slovenian timber companies.
  • The metalworking industry – tubes, bars, profiles, sheet bundles, coils and machine parts.
  • Logistics and distribution – high-volume palletised goods, baled cargo and bagged materials.

Container Unloading System

Container Unloading System

The unloading system works on the reverse principle: an alloy-steel sliding plate slides under the cargo in the container, which is first secured with grippers, and pulls the entire load out. The manufacturer quotes unloading in under ten minutes with one operator, a maximum load of 30,000 kg and hydraulic height adjustment for different vehicle heights. The system covers 20- and 40-foot containers and cargo trailers.

Benefits

  • The container is empty in minutes. Container dwell time is cut, and with it demurrage costs.
  • The cargo remains untouched. Instead of unloading piece by piece, the whole load is pulled out in one stroke.
  • Safer work. No more people and forklifts working inside the container.

Applications

  • The wood-processing industry – receiving panels, sawn timber and flooring.
  • The metal industry – tubes, sheet and profiles in import shipments.
  • Construction and palletised goods – concrete and precast elements, consumer goods, food and beverages.

Container Loading and Unloading System – combined system

Container Loading and Unloading System – combined system

The combined system unites loading and unloading in one machine. The Hardox® steel plate covers 20-, 40-, 45- and 53-foot containers and cargo trailers, capacity is up to 30,000 kg, and according to the manufacturer a cycle takes less than ten minutes. The result is up to three times faster container turnaround. On-site installation takes two to three working days, including commissioning and staff training.

Benefits

  • Up to three times faster container turnaround. One machine covers both directions of flow, removing the bottleneck on the import or export side.
  • A hard-wearing version for intensive use. The Hardox® steel plate is intended for plants where the machine works in both directions every day.
  • Rapid deployment. Two to three days of installation means minimal disruption to operations.

Applications

  • Companies importing and exporting in containers – the same equipment handles inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Construction and industrial goods – heavier, awkward cargo that is slow to stack with a forklift.
  • Logistics and transhipment centres – where one container is turned around by several customers with different cargo types.

Log Loader – loader for logs and long cargo

Log Loader – loader for logs and long cargo

The Log Loader is designed for filling containers with logs and other long, heavy cargo. The cargo is loaded into a movable trough, which the system pushes into the container together with a safety frame. The platform takes up to 30,000 kg, loading takes from about 12 minutes per container, and built-in certified scales allow precise weighing during loading. The manufacturer quotes a reduction in loading time or costs of up to 30 percent.

Benefits

  • Precise weighing during loading. The container is filled to its permitted weight without subsequent weighing and re-handling.
  • Less container damage. The cargo is not thrown or pushed around the inside of the container.
  • The riskiest manual work eliminated. Loading logs into a container with a forestry loader is among the most dangerous jobs in the yard.

Applications

  • Forestry and sawmills – exporting logs in containers.
  • Steel and the metal industry – steel tubes and long profiles.
  • Power and municipal infrastructure – poles and similar long cargo.

Container Tilter – tilting device for vertical container loading

Container Tilter – tilting device for vertical container loading

The Container Tilter stands the container upright and fills it from above, using its entire volume. The tilt is adjustable from –5° to 90°, capacity is up to 30,000 kg, loading takes less than ten minutes per container, and digital scales achieve ±1% accuracy. Versions for 20- and 40-foot containers are available, and installation takes two to three working days. Options include remote control, a mobile drive, a diesel or electric power unit, hydraulic door closing and a PLC link.

Benefits

  • One hundred percent volume utilisation. With free-flowing materials, vertical filling eliminates the empty space under the container roof.
  • Precise weight control. Digital scales with ±1% accuracy prevent exceeding the permitted weight and subsequent re-handling.
  • One operator and little space. The system works as a free-standing station in the yard.

Applications

  • Bulk materials and agriculture – grain, pellets, fertilisers.
  • The chemical and mineral industries – chemicals, minerals, pulp.
  • Recycling and scrap metal – material that a forklift cannot distribute evenly through the container.

Container Unloader Tilter – tilting device for container unloading

Container Unloader Tilter – tilting device for container unloading

The unloading tilter automates the emptying of 20-foot containers of bulk cargo directly into the warehouse or onto a conveyor, without additional machinery or manual work. The container is secured with locking pins and side grippers, lifted off the truck, and then tilted at an angle of up to 45° so the material pours out. Emptying takes five to ten minutes with one operator, and digital scales achieve ±1% accuracy.

Benefits

  • Emptying without manual work. No more digging material out of the container with a forklift or by hand.
  • Faster container turnaround. Five to ten minutes per container means far less demurrage.
  • A traceable weight. Weighing during emptying with ±1% accuracy provides an immediate record of received quantities.

Applications

  • The chemical industry – receiving bulk raw materials; for the LOTTE Chemicals project the manufacturer quotes a 25 percent reduction in logistics costs.
  • Bulk processing and storage – receiving into silos and bins.
  • Recycling – emptying containers of scrap raw materials.

Hopper Wagon Unloading System

Hopper Wagon Unloading System

The mobile system takes bulk cargo directly from the bottom of hopper rail wagons, without building pits or other fixed infrastructure. Capacity is up to 800 m³/h, the system moves on electrically driven wheels, and hydraulic cylinders allow alignment with the wagon height and positioning of the conveyors. It is operated from a stationary control cabinet or by radio remote control.

Benefits

  • No civil works. Building an unloading pit is unnecessary, which greatly shortens time to commissioning and lowers the investment.
  • Less spillage and dust. The material is received directly under the wagon, without grinding or abrading the cargo.
  • Faster wagon turnaround. Shorter wagon dwell directly reduces rail-vehicle rental costs.

Applications

  • Mining and mineral raw materials – coal, iron ore, lime, clay, scrap metal.
  • Aggregates and building materials – sand, gravel, crushed stone, cement, gypsum, rock salt.
  • Agriculture and chemicals – grain, fertilisers, wood pellets, plastic granulates, petrochemical products.

ST-20/750 radial stacking conveyor

ST-20/750 radial stacking conveyor

The radial stacking conveyor takes bulk materials directly from trucks, wheel loaders, wagons or ship cranes onto a feed conveyor and distributes them via the stacking belt to a stockpile, warehouse, barges or wagons. Capacities are 450, 750 or 1000 m³/h, the stacking belt is up to 30 metres long, and radial travel is up to 60° to each side. The hydraulically folding head allows transport in a standard shipping container. Tracked, wheeled and stationary versions are available with diesel, electric or combined drive.

Benefits

  • A large stockpile from a single point. Radial travel and belt length allow a large pile to be formed without repositioning the machine.
  • Controlled reclaim. The system also works as interim storage with a controlled volumetric discharge rate.
  • Dust control and condition monitoring. Dust-proof housings and sealing rings are available, plus a web interface for monitoring and predictive maintenance.

Applications

  • Ports and transhipment terminals – forming bulk-cargo stockpiles.
  • Loading barges and ships – via additional conveyors.
  • Loading and unloading rail wagons – the link between warehouse and track.

Ship loading conveyors

Ship loading conveyors

The mobile ship-loading conveyor is designed for fast, even distribution of bulk cargo in ships' holds. Capacity reaches up to 2,000 t/h, the telescopic belt extends and retracts by 30 percent, and the rotating discharge spreads the cargo evenly. The machine sits on a wheeled chassis with flexible drive wheels allowing longitudinal, transverse and radial travel, and the lifting mechanism adapts to tides and different ship sizes. It is operated by a single operator.

Benefits

  • A lower drop height. The belt extension keeps the discharge height low, reducing material degradation and dust.
  • Several holds from one feed point. Mobility and telescopic reach allow several hatches to be filled without moving the feed.
  • Fewer port delays. A faster loading cycle shortens the ship's time at berth.

Applications

  • Port terminals for bulk cargo – grain, pellets, coal, rapeseed.
  • Barge loading and river traffic – the same system with a smaller reach.
  • Terminals with fluctuating water levels – the lifting mechanism adapts to tides.

Mobile conveyors and feeder conveyors

Mobile conveyors and feeder conveyors

The mobile conveyor programme covers the transfer of all kinds of bulk cargo between warehouse, quay and ship. Belt, modular, roller, screw and chain conveyors are available in several versions, with hydraulic height adjustment, telescopic extension, a radial chassis, all-wheel drive and hoppers of various sizes. The feeder conveyor provides controlled, even dosing of material to the next transport stage. Every system is custom-designed – from the structure and technical specifications to the components of the dosing mechanism.

Benefits

  • Adapted to the existing plant. Systems are designed around the route, space and material, instead of the plant adapting to the machine.
  • An even flow. Controlled dosing prevents interruptions and overloads in the transport chain.
  • Dust control. Extraction systems and dust-protection equipment are available.

Applications

  • Loading ships and barges from the quay – linking the warehouse to the ship in a chain of conveyors.
  • Storage in limited space – stockpiling in halls, hangars and confined port areas.
  • Loading and unloading wagons – transferring material between track and warehouse.

Ash container with screw conveyor

Ash container with screw conveyor

The screw-conveyor container collects, temporarily stores and hauls away hot or cooled ash, slag, wood chips and other combustion residues. The screw conveyor along the container floor distributes the material evenly through the whole volume and prevents uneven build-up. The container is a closed metal design with an opening lid, three side inspection hatches for checking the fill level, a filling aperture for automatic feed systems, a crane lifting eye and a hook coupling for standard vehicles.

Benefits

  • Continuous operation. Collection and distribution run automatically, without manual intervention.
  • The whole volume used. The screw conveyor prevents build-up on one side of the container.
  • Resistant to high temperatures. The material does not need cooling before removal, eliminating waiting.

Applications

  • Boiler houses and biomass power plants – removing ash from furnaces.
  • Waste incinerators – collecting and hauling away combustion residues.
  • Industrial energy plants – capturing ash and slag in production.
